Asokoro, the highbrow area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Abuja, is more than just a place; it is a statement of elegance, power, and exclusivity.
Surrounded by the historical rock landmarks that have defined Abuja’s skyline, Asokoro is where Nigeria’s elite reside, where the rich and powerful find solace in the majestic beauty of their surroundings. It is the seat of power in Nigeria, a place where the country’s most influential figures live, work, and shape the nation’s future.

Amidst this grandeur and opulence resides a man who epitomizes the very essence of Asokoro—Dr. Donald Peterson, fondly known as the ‘Prince of Asokoro.’ Dr. Peterson is a man of high taste and class, a figure whose presence in this esteemed enclave reflects his success and urbane lifestyle. His wealth is matched only by his generosity, and it is in this spirit that he extended an invitation to me, a gesture that would soon turn into one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life.

When Dr. Peterson invited me to his palatial home in Asokoro, I thought it would be an ordinary visit. Little did I know that he had planned a surprise that would leave me overwhelmed with gratitude. As I stepped into his luxurious residence, I was greeted with the warmth and hospitality that only someone of his caliber could offer. But the true surprise was yet to come.

Though my 47th birthday had passed on the 20th of August, Dr. Peterson chose to celebrate me today in a way that only he could. He had lined up a surprise birthday package that was nothing short of extraordinary. The evening was filled with choice wines, exquisite food, and a beautiful cake—each detail meticulously planned to make me feel cherished. But above all, it was the love and affection that Dr. Peterson showed me that truly touched my heart. It was a celebration that could only be offered in Asokoro, a place where every gesture is infused with grandeur and significance.

As the night unfolded, I found myself dancing, not just to the rhythm of the music but to the rhythm of gratitude and joy that filled my heart. In that moment, I reciprocated the love that Dr. Peterson had shown me, pouring my heart into every step and every smile. It was my way of saying thank you to the ‘Prince of Asokoro,’ a man who had celebrated a commoner like me in a manner that I will never forget.

Thank you, Dr. Donald Peterson, for your kindness, your generosity, and for making me feel so special. Ewere Okonta and his family are deeply grateful to you, sir. This article is just one of the many ways I can begin to reciprocate the massive love you have shown to me. Asokoro, with love, is not just a title—it is a testament to the bond we share, a bond that is as enduring as the majestic beauty of Asokoro itself.
