Dear Hon. Sir,

Permit me to break protocol just this once.

I know this will make you slightly uncomfortable. I know you would have preferred today to pass quietly, with barely a whisper in the wind. But how do you celebrate a man of your substance in silence? How does one mute gratitude? How can we ignore the steady hand, the calm mind, and the pure heart that has represented the good people of Ika Federal Constituency with honour, humility, and uncommon grace?

Today is your birthday, Rt Hon Victor Nwokolo, and like it or not, you must be celebrated.

You are a silent achiever—a man who lets his work speak volumes. While others may parade the corridors of power with fanfare and noise, you have chosen the noble path of quiet service. As Chairman of the House Committee on Power and a ranking member of the House of Representatives, your footprint is unmistakable. Your legislative record is rich with impactful bills—many of which have directly improved the lives of your people and beyond.

But here’s the beauty of your story: you never shout about your successes. You simply do the work and move on, as though it were just the natural thing to do. And maybe, for you, it is. That is the mark of a man raised with values—a man who sees public service not as a platform for self-promotion, but as a sacred duty.

You have touched lives, Sir—quietly, consistently, and with a generous heart. Ika people see it. Nigeria sees it. Even if you shy away from the spotlight today, allow us to shine it on you.

So, on behalf of all those whose lives you’ve impacted, knowingly and unknowingly, I say: Happy Birthday, Hon. Victor Nwokolo! May your days be long, your health steady, and your heart always full of the peace you so generously give to others.

Forgive me for this loud tribute. I just couldn’t help it. You are a good man, and good men deserve to be celebrated—even when they would rather not.

With utmost respect and warmest regards,
Happy Birthday once again, Sir.
