This initiative demonstrated the commitment of MWAN to improving the health and well-being of the Owa community and beyond.

Prof. Rosemary Ogu, the National President of MWAN and the programme’s lead facilitator, expressed profound gratitude to all stakeholders. She commended Dr. Olive Ogelle, the Delta State Branch President of MWAN, and her executives for their outstanding coordination and tireless efforts in delivering free medical services.

Prof. Ogu extended her appreciation to His Royal Majesty, Dr. Emmanuel Efeizomor II, the Obi of Owa, for his warm reception and unwavering support. She also acknowledged the contributions of Hon. Monday Odigwe, the Executive Chairman of Ika North East Local Government Council, and the sons and daughters of Owa for their collaborative efforts in making the outreach a success.

Earlier, during a courtesy visit to the palace, His Royal Highness, Dr. Emmanuel Efeizomor II, bestowed his royal blessings on the initiative. The revered monarch described the outreach as a noble cause that aligns with the community’s values of compassion and service to humanity. His blessings set the tone for a successful and impactful event.

He expressed admiration for Prof. Rosemary Ogu’s leadership and pledged the council’s continued support for similar initiatives. Hon. Odigwe also extended his best wishes for the successful deliberations of MWAN’s 13th AGM.

Similarly, Chief Lawrence Osiegbu, a respected politician and community leader, also lauded the outreach program, describing it as a life-changing intervention for the people of Owa. He pledged his support to ensure the program becomes an annual event, expanding its reach to benefit the entire Ika Nation.

The event was both eventful and colourful, as a dedicated team of volunteer medical professionals worked tirelessly, treating patients with professionalism and care. The gratitude of beneficiaries was evident, as many expressed relief and joy at the quality of care received.

The success of the Owa Oyibu Medical Outreach underscored the importance of collaboration in addressing healthcare challenges in underserved communities. It was a day of hope, health, and humanity—a reminder that indeed, health is wealth.

As the MWAN team concluded their outreach and prepared for their AGM deliberations, the Owa community remained grateful for a day that will be etched in their memories as a symbol of care and compassion.
